The Impact Award honors the team that best embodies the values of FIRST and serves as a model for other FRC teams to learn from. This includes inspiring and promoting STEM through measurable impact on participants, schools, and the general community. The Impact Award is focused on accomplishments from the past three years.
The team will describe their activities and achievements in a narrative form. The essay is limited to 10,000 characters and should focus on the past 3 years with an emphasis on the past 12-18 months. Avoid repeating content from executive summaries.

Teams will answer questions which includes basic team information and short essays regarding the activities of the team. The executive summaries are limited to 500 characters and there are 13 in total.

At the competition, the team will participate in an interview with a panel of judges which includes a presentation and Q&A section. The interview is 12 minutes total; 7 minutes is allocated for the team presentation while the Q&A is 5 minutes. 3 students are allowed to participate.
A video can be presented to highlight the activities and achievements of the team. It is between 1-3 minutes and will be presented if the team wins the Impact Award. The video is free of copyright restrictions.
